DO YOU WANT YOUR HUSBAND TO DANCE?

Dancing...Reflecting all your feelings with your movements while dancing..It is wonderful, is not it? Sure, it is:) And what makes the movie "Shall we dance?" an excellent one is Richard Gear for me:) His performance is gorgeous . The story of the film is also very impressive.Chicago lawyer John Clark knows his life is almost perfect. He loves his beautiful wife, he's built a successful career. Yet, his workdays are routine and the family does not spend much time busy together. One evening, everything changes for John. On his way home from work he gets off his train and does the unthinkable. Without saying anything to anybody, he secretly begins taking dance lessons. Suddenly, John is thrust into a whole new world--of motion, music, and passion. As this very serious man becomes literally light on his feet, his whole life, and marriage, transforms.

While watching the movie, I have realized an idiom: "without telling a soul." When John' wife recognizes the thruth, John's taking dance lessons, she gets shocked and says" How could you have done such a thing without telling a soul?" I am sure, you all get the meaning:) This idiom can be used in different contexts very frequently:)
And another idiom which has made me suprised with its meaning is "face the music." While John is arguing with some of his friends in the movie, his friend says this. At first, having heard this sentence, I have thought that his fri>end is encouring John to feel the sounds, notes and dance. Nonetheless, this does not fit the context. Therefore, I have looked up to the dictionary and learned that it is an idiom meaning "to accept the unpleasant consequences of an action." Intresting, is not it? :)
