"For as long as I can remember..." `How to Make an American Quilt" begins with these words. After watching the secenes in which Finn is telling about his childhood which past among quilts, I think these words invariably mean that things have gone on in the same way for years and years, but that now everything is about to change:)
The character Finn is a familiar face. Actually in the movie "Interrupted", I appreciated her performance very much. I also appreiate her success. She is a two-time Academy Award-nominated and Golden Globe-winning American actress. In the movie, Finn is the narrator of the story. She is a Berkeley student who has returned to her family's lands to spend a last summer a short time before her marriage. She begin to stay in near her grandmother and her grand aunt. Finn's grandmother and her great aunt live in a big old house in California. For as long as Finn can remember, the two women and their friends have gathered for quilting bees. What is the amazing thing for me is to be knowing that these women sew into their quilts their hopes and memories too:) It is really wonderful, is not it? They're really going to need their thimbles this summer as they sew Finn's wedding quilt.
By the way, Finn is engaged to Sam. Nevertheless, Finn isn't sure how she feels about marriage and a lifelong commitment, and that's why she wants to spend three months out of his sight, with the older women of her family and their friends.During the course of the summer Sam will turn up, briefly, and there will also be visits from Finn's mother and all of the neighboring quilters, It is Anna, who sets the master plan for each quilt, and keeps the others in line. I deduce this from these ords of Finn:
"Anna used to work for my grandmother, but now it seems that they all work for her".
As the women quilt, they remember stories from their own younger years, and as they share them with Finn, I understood that many of them in flashback. They all have a common theme, which will not come as a surprise. That is "TO ONE'S OWN HEART BE TRUE." The two stories that touched me the most belonged to as Anna's daughter and as Finn's bohemian mother. Woodard, who has had many affairs in her lifetime, remembers the one man who got away . That man was a stranger who joined her in a Parisian cafe and left her with a scrap of poetry that she has made her life's guide. Her speaking is very sweet:) She reflects her thoughts about poetry with these sentence:
"The poetry, alas, is not very good, but you can't have everything."
Then, as the movie continues, everything begins to be revealed about Finn's mother. In fact, Finn's mother has long been divorced from Finn's father. But, here there is an important lesson given by the movie, I think. That is passion must not stand in the way of the deeper and more enduring truth of friendship.
Any way:) During her summer in the country, Finn is writing a master's thesis. It is her third, because she keeps changing her mind about topics. One day, functioning only as an obvious plot device, a big wind blows up and scatters her typewritten pages all over the yard. Then, Finn decides that she'll write on something else instead. But after the wind stops, the women gather the pages and present them to her, and she gets the advice that maybe in this case, as in life and marriage, it is best to stick to their comments:)
This is a very nice movie. Although my roommate did not like it( because we watched the movie together), I really liked it. While taking you to a nostaligia of a young girl, it also give you the chance of seeing thse sweet old women:)

THERE IS ENOUGH LOVE FOR EVERYBODY:)
With a wonderful opening, the movie starts..From the first moment to the last, I have watched the movie with a big amazement. I think every aspect of of the movie is carefully thought. The sountrack, the stories, actors and actress are excellent...Actually, after Pride and Prejudice, this the second movie that has affected me very much. This is the second time I have watched it. And even this time, I have felt the same impression. This is should be a very big source of pride for the director Richard Curtis, for productor and the actors and actresses.
.....ten stories intertwine, loosely connected by friends of friends, family and next-door-neighbours. There's the new, bachelor prime minister (Hugh Grant) falling for the teagirl; his sister (Emma Thompson) suspecting her husband (Alan Rickman) may stray; her mate grieving over his wife's death; his stepson longing for a girl from school...
As far as I have understood, the movie mostly takes place in London. The beginning of the movie is very comic:) Billy Mack's acts are so much sweet that in the movie, he is as he is. Therefore, he does not pay effort to act something different but himself..In the movie, with his real name, Billy Mack seaches for a comeback. With that aim in his mind, he has changed the lyrics of one of his biggest hits and turned it into a Christmas song. After this, he sees himself in the platform of competition with Blue, one of most popular pop music group, in order to top the Cristmas charts.Time to time, the scenes of Billy Mark appear during the movie. And thse are the most enjoyable moments:) For example, I cannot forget the scene in which Billy having an interview on TV. He said: "Here's a message from your Uncle Billy kids. Don't buy drugs. Become a pop star and they give them to you for free!" At that point, I have laughed so much that tears have come from my eyes:) Another scene of hm which I cannot forget is in a radio show. Dj asked him: "What's the best shag you've ever had?" And he replied :"Britney Spears. No I'm only kidding. She was rubbish." His mimics and jstures are so much integrated to the scenes that watching his performance is wonderful..
First love story belong to David and Natalie. David is the newly elected Prime Minister of England He begins his job, and as far as he begins, he realizes how difficult can be his responsibilty. When he comes to his home which is called as "NUMBER TEN", he meets with his servants. Among them, Natalie draws his attention and he falls for her. although he tries to stop his feeling, he cannot do that. When the President of the United States comes and tries to deceive Naatalie, David sees that and gathers his strenght and stands up him, making his position very clear. Nevertheless, he got angry with Natalie and Natalie leaves the Number Ten. Then, David goes to her neighborhood, searching house by house until he finds her. They come together ath the local school Christmas concert and they are seen by eveyone while they are kising each other:) This is secene is very romentic:)
Second love story is about David's sister Karen and her husband Harry. They have a normal marriage and have for quite some time. (I want to mention that in her role, Emma Thompson is brillant:) ) She does her job as a wife perfectly. She is a housewife. While she is staying at home, her husband goes to work every day. His new secretary, Mia,( at fist I could not get her name, but after watching that scene again, I could catch it.) though, proves quite tempting and she implies Harry that she wants more than a working relationship. Harry somehow Harry jeopardizes his marriage by purchasing an Christmas gift for Mia, which Karen finds and believes to be for her.Nevertheless, later she learns the truth, and talks Harry about it.

The third love story is between Sarah and Karl. They are working at the same commany. Karl is someting like chief designer. Although these two rarely speak, they have an interest on each other. On office Christmas party, they dance. When he drives her home, things go a bit further. As they're about to make love, her mentally challenged brother calls. Karl asks if answering will help her brother. She says no, but answers anyway and Karl leaves. The unforgettable scene about this love is when Harry talks Sarah about her love for Karl. The dialogue is like this:
Harry: Right. And how long have you been in love with Karl?
Sarah: Sorry?
Harry: How long have you been in love with Karl, our enigmatic chief designer?
Sarah: Ahm, two years, seven months, three days and, I suppose, and hour and thirty minutes.
Harry: I thought as much.
Sarah: Do you think everybody knows?
Harry: Yes.
Sarah: Do you think Karl knows?
Harry: Yes.
Sarah: Oh, that is bad news.
The fourth love is between Juliet and Peter. Actually this is most tragic one. I have felt sorry for Peter. Juliet has just gotten married with Peter's best friend Mark standing up as best man. Juliet believes that Mark doesn't like her since he's never warmed up to her. When Juliet needs a picture of herself in her wedding dress, she asks Mark since she knows he was filming a lot throughout the day. He tries to say no, but she insists and drops by unexpectedly. As they watch the video, Juliet notices that the only one on the tape is her. With her realizations, Mark tries to hide his face in embarrassment. She questions him, saying he never talks to her and doesn't like her but he leaves before they can talk. They don't speak again, but on Christmas Eve he shows up at her and Peter's with poster board and a box playing 'Silent Night' saying that to him, she is perfect and his wasted heart will love her. She gives him a quick kiss before running back into her husband.
The fifth story is about Colin. He is a comic boy for me:) His attitudes are fuuny. Indeed, he is the boy who worked as a waiter at Juliet and Peter's wedding. He thinks himselfs as unlucky in love. He tells his friend Tony that girls in America would love him because of his cute British accent and that he is going to go there. He goes to America, to a bar. There he immediately meets three beautiful girls who find his accent charming and adorable. They invite him to stay at their place with them and by the time Colin returns to England, he's brought another American girl home with him.

Another love appears when author Jamie Bennett goes to France. There he is attracted by a woman hired to clean the house he is renting. Nevertheless, there s a problem. The problem is that she only speaks Portuguese and he only speaks English. She is also attracted to him even though they can't speak to one another. When he returns to England he attempts to learn her language. On Christmas Eve, as he arrives at his family gathering, he immediately turns to leave and gets on a plane to propose to Aurelia, who accepts and has been trying to learn English.
As a last one I want to talk about Daniel. His wife has just died, leaving him to care for his stepson Sam. Daniel has noticed that Sam has seemed so depressed and there's nothing he can do about it. Daniel gets him out of the house and finally gets Sam to admit that he is in love. He was before his mother died and he still is. The girl is named Joanna, the same as Sam's mother, and is American. Sam intends to impress Joanna by learning to play the drums and performing at the school Christmas concert before she flies back to America. He performs brilliantly, but doesn't get a chance to talk to Joanna before she leaves. Daniel drives Sam to the airport and helps him slip past security so he can run through the airport. Once he reaches Joanna he is delighted to find out that she does know his name and as he returns to Daniel he turns around to find Joanna has followed him. She gives him a quick kiss before leaving, but they meet again when she return
As all these show, love is all around the world. In every one's life, it exists. I love this movie very much. It shows the beauty of love. Its perfectness. Yes, it is something usual in everyone's life; but everyone tastes it differently, do not they?

WHAT A GLOBAL LANGUAGE ENGLISH IS!
Africa, Asia, Australia-Oceanica, Caribbean, Central America, Europe, Middle East, North America, South America.........Yes, these are the continents in which English is spoken as first or as a second language:) As a far as I know, English today is probably the third largest language by number of native speakers, after Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. But, when combining native and non-native speakers it is probably the most commonly spoken language in the world. After looking at the wesite "http://web.ku.edu/idea/", you can see that is true. And considering the countries in these continents, I am sure once more there is actually a huge amount of people speaking this language.
This week my topic is the usage of English all over the world. And the dialect differences of it. For this, I have visited five websites and I have listened English utterances of people fom different countries. The first website, I have visited is www.eviews.net/library.shtml. Here, there are speeches of people whose native language is English. Nevertheless, they are from different parts of the world. That means they all have different accents. As a first, I have listened to a woman from Scotland. Her accent resembles British. But there are some differences actually. For examle, while she is saying "going, coming, doing", she drops "g" sound, and she prounces it as /k^mın/. And, the prouncation of "r" sound is also different. As you now, the Americans prounounce "r" which is alveolar trill. Also, while they are speaking it is easy to hear "r" sound especially the ones at the end of the words. Scottish woman' s prounciation it is not same with the Americans'. While she is saying "You can cover....", she prounces the word "cover" as /kavı'/. From this aspect, it is same with British. Additionally, there are some nuances between the porounciation of vowels. While she is saying "bird", she pronounces it as "bırd" not as /b3rd/, "because" as /bıkoz/....etc. I have also listened to an Australian man whose speech I have found to understand a bit difficult. Indeed, there are sme distintive fature of his dialect. The most significant point is his exaggrating the "a" sound in the words. For example, while he is saying "They are coming..", he is saying "are" by exaggrating "a". Another thing is his prounciation of the word "nice". He is saying it as /nois/. While he is uttering the word "city", you can hear that it is as "cidi". Like Americans, their usage of "d" sound is striking:) Next, I have listened to a man from Southern English whose accents is British one:) His speech is very fluent and not difficult ot understand so much. Nonetheless, his swallowing some sounds makes some words dificult to undersatand. The most noticable thing in this accent is he does not prounce the "r" sounds at he end of the words. (Exact feature of British:) ) What has drawn my attention in his speech is aspiration. /p/, /t/, /k/ sounds are aspirated. For example, while saying "place", "take" and "fantastik", he aspirated these sounds. As a reasult, akthugh he is swallowing some sounds, his aspirating these sounds make the end of words much more understandable. The other one I want to mention is the accents of American poeples from West Coast, East Coast, and Atlantic. Although they are from Amrica, their accents differ from each other. When you listened to them, you come to this conclusition. However, there are similarities. First of all, it is much more easy to understand ehat they are saying. Their speeches are much more clear. I think, this is most probably a result of their using alveolar trill /r/. While they are talking, to notice "r" sound in the words is simple. Furthermore, they use stress very much. In the sentence "I have been really interested in Archeology." uttered by the woman from West Coast of America, she is stressing the word "really". Or in the other sentences, the words such as very", "simply" are stressed. In the sentence "Definitely, you are familiar with it.", she is stressing the word "definitely"... there are lots of examples for that. I also want to talk about their extent usage of /d/. The word, "sit" is pronounced as /sıd/ or the word "city" as /sıdı/. While saying "This year", they are saying it by using /$/ sound between thses kinds of two words.
http://alt-usage-english.org/audio_archive.shtml is the second website I have visited. Here, there are five spoken texts which are:
Arthur the Rat (Australia, Canada, England, India, Ireland, USA)
The Rainbow Passage (Australia, England, USA)
The North Wind and The Sun (England, USA)
Bother, father caugh...(Australia, Canada, England, Ireland, New Zealand, USA)
I teach Ferdinand...(Australia, Canada, England, USA)
And, as I have written, each of these spoken texts are read by people who have different accents. Firstly, ı have listened to Australian people. Actually, this is time it is much more easy to follow the sentences uttered by the speaker. This can be because I have looked at the texts before istened to speakers. As I have been asble to comprehend the texts, it is not difficult to get the meaning. After listening to Australians, I come to the conculion that the things I have written for the speeches of the Australians in the website "eviews" are also valid for these ones. Their pronounciation of vowels are a very significant feture of their accent. They are exaggrating "a" sound. "His friends asks him..." In this sentence, one of these persons prounces "ask" exaggrating the prounciation of "a" at the beginning of the word. Also their usage of [d] instead of [t] is striking. As an example: "...half in and half out of his hole." Here, the man says "out" as /oud/. And of course there are lots of examples for them. When I have listened to Canadian person, I have been amazed:) For me, his speech is so much pure and easy to understand. what I have realized in Canadian accent is there is not a distinctive diffirantion between [a] and the converse version of it. Something like [c](As there is not that letter in my keyboard, I could not write it.) Although Sometimes the /r/ sound is flapped, this flapping is not so much frequent. Irish speaker speaks so much fluently that I have so much enjoyed to listen to him. What I noticed is that there are so much aspiration in his speech. Nevertheless, the words are clear. His sayin "either" as /aıdır/ is another thing draws my attention. I also want tp tak about the accent of Indian person. His speech is strange for me. While speaking, he is a bit like hesitating. There are stops between the words and sentences in his speech. I have tried to listen to the person's speaking from New Zealand but it too short to undertand.
I have visited another website which is "http://www.gazzaro.it/accents/files/accents2.html." Here, again there are a lot of accents ranging from Scottish to Ottawa..and surely, every person from these different places have different accents. I have listened to most of them. Although the language they are speaking is same; nevertheless, the style how they speak it different from each other very much. And the most stange ones for me are the ones from Ottawo, Dublin, Jamaica and Vancouver. Actually, I have not listened to their speech in my life. And their accents are really noticable from others:) I am not able to imagine they are speaking in front of me:) If such kind of a thing happens, I am not sure whether I will be able to understand what they are saying. Lets talk a bit about the websites "http://web.ku.edu/idea/" and "http://classweb.gmu.edu/accent/english0" . Here again there are lots of accents which are differeing from each other. But what diffres them from the others is these websites include non-native speakers of english too. Therefore, I have a big opprtunity to listen to English speaking of people from almost all over to world, even Turkey:) The Turkish woman is apeaking English so much fluent that I have been proud of her very much:) Actually, she wasa born in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. After having been graduated from high school, ahe and her family moved to New York. After two years, they moved to Canada. Now, she is studying Economics. And the Spanish speaker's accent is very familiar to me. My Spanish instructor is a native Spanish. She is speaking as same as the Spanish speaker in the "classweb" website. While she is speaking, you can easily recognize her Spanish accent.
All these accents makes me realize English has such a huge speaking area. Yes, there are diffrences between non-native and native varieties. First of all, we can notice that non-native ones have any way less or more the accents of their native languages. However, this does not make the understanding of their speech much difficult although in some parts, there occur such problems. Native ones, on the other hand, are not as easy as non-native ones to understand. The most important factor is fluency I think. They are much more fluent than non-natives. In non-native ones's speeches, there are pauses, which make the comprehension easy. this is not valid for native ones'. Any way, the significant thing is accent is an important part of language. To speak target language / foreign language by using its phonotic rules is the thing what makes you successful in speaking. Otherwise, it would be something which cannot be understood and which cannot be nice. Although there are lots of versions of speaking English, which are accents, for second lanuage learners, to consantrate on American and British accent is the most appropriate one. Because they are under the categor of so called " standard English.
I have put these websites at the bottom of my blog under the topic of "LETS LOOK AT THESE WEBSITES!" I recommend all of you to benefit from them as much as possible. They are surely very helpful for your improvement of english pronounciation.

IF A GIRL IS A RABID SOCCER FAN...
Beckham is the inspiration behind Bend it Like Beckham. And I believe this a wonderfully fun film that takes familiar plots, rolls them all into one, and does it so deftly that it doesn't matter that this is a predictable movie:) In In the movie, there is a wedding and second-generation Asian Indians whoe are trying to explain their traditional values and cultures to their children. The movie also tells about (how it is called in the movie ) "underdog" sport teams, the difficulties they face up, inter-cultural relationships, and a sweet Indian girl trying to make her way in a man's world.
Jessis is a girl who lives in a strict family of proud and prospering Indian immigrants. Unlike elder sister Pinky, who works at an airport and has delighted the parents with her wedding plans, Jess is a problem for the family. She is still awaiting acceptance to begin her law studies, but, she's a rabid soccer fan who loves to play with the neighborhood guys. Her parents hope she'll become engaged to Tony (her closest friend) but he's a gay. Her parents want her and her sister Pinky to be good Indian daughters. Pinky's wedding is approaching, so that the pressure on Jess increases. Nevertheless, things change when Jules sees Jess playing in the park with some guys. Jules calls Jess to her girl team, coached by Joe. Actually, Jess is finally doing what she loves to do, but she has to lie to her parents. Jess must keep this activity secret from her parents, because they want their daughter to dress feminine and marry Indian. Anyway, everything goes very well and Jess becomes a key player in the amateur team and becomes a close friend of Jules. At this point I want to mention about Jules's mother, Paula:) She is such funny person that I laugh her comments on movie very much:) The first one coming to my mnd is the scene in which Paula is sure Jess and Jules are involved in a lesbian relationship.
What I have noticed that much of the humor derives from watching the parents:)Their reactions are very comic:) The nice thing is that director has a gentle touch on Indian culture without mocking it.Furthermore, I think it is also easily understandable to people who aren't familiar with the culture; it's more about having odd parents than anything else. The characters were so well written. They are more than ordinary characters. Jess' father and mother truly care for the welfare of their daughter. They want her to grow up like they did, and don't realize that the culture Jess lives in is very different from the one they grew up in. Jules's mother is the same way as Jules' mother. She doesn't think it's proper for a girl to play soccer. in
I appreciate the senarist very much:) I think she spent lots of the time and gave lot of care and thought into the characters and stories. Derinitely, It is this attention and detailed study of the senarist that makes Bend it Like Beckham so enjoyable:) Although it is two hours, while watching it I could not realize how fast the time had past:) And as a last point, I want to mention the character Jess. Even though she is angry with her family, she is respectful to them and love them. These two opposite feelings are reflected ery effectively on this movie, which is also a great work:)

WHAT ABOUT GOING ON 30?
13 Going on 30 takes us back to the days on which Mickhael Jackson is on the top.It starts with a Go-Go's song, then we hear the voice of Billy Joel. And, while watching ,it, you may realize that magic done in the movie has limitless ways of turning 13-year-olds into 30-year-olds.
13 Going on 30 has entartained me very much. Although I am more than 13, I feel myself one of its special target audiences who are 13-year-old girls. Actually, there are nothing new in the movie. The plot can be guessed by everyone.Anyway, the movie is likeable. This is a fact that the director of the movie delivered a solid comedy about appreciating what’s really important in life. The major character in the film is acted by Jennifer Garner. She plays the 30-year-old version of Jenna Rink, a young woman who one moment is just turning 13 and wishing for life to pass fast. And then, she is 30, without any recollection of the intervening 17 years. Yes, it is a difficult period for her:) Jenna has her own apartment, a job as a magazine editor job, and boyfriend. Everything in her life changes and it is all new.
Experiencing all these, she is thrilled. (At least, she’s thrilled at first:) ) But then, she begins to learn who she really is. She is actually a nasty, overly ambitious manipulator who rejected her true love, Matt Flamhaff. Having sought out Matt for help, she awakes one morning thinking she’s 13, when she’s already 30. Jenna is forced to recognize what she’s done with her life. She sacrifices her basic decency at age 13 for big-time success. And she sacrifices Matt, as well.
Things proceed pretty much as you’d expect; this is common formula. But the movie is ultimately so sweet that it is diffiucult to not to have fun and sentimentality. 13 Going on 30 is a romantic fantasy for a young audience, and for more mature folks who are able to put aside their cynicism for 98-minutes and imagine what they might do if they could turn back the clock and make 30-year-old decisions This isn’t a great film, but it’s good fun and sweet without being cloying.

IT IS NEVER A GOOD IDEA TO GIVE UP ON LOVE, IS IT?
Yes, definitely.. Dating has never been easy:) I think this sentence summarizes the content of the movie "Must Love Dogs". A perfect type of romentic comedy:) While watching the movie, I came to the conclusion that searching for a soul mate has always been a part of humiliation and aggravation. And finding it at the end is a gorgeous result:) If there are people around you searching for a great lover for you, the job is much more easier:)
Sarah Nolan (DIANE LANE) is a thirty- something pre-school teacher. She has never been divorced for eight months, which is too long for her family to bear. Therefore, with Sarah' s happiness in their mind, they put lots of efforts in order to make Sarah well kept again. They interfere her life very much, including her clothes and her friends. Almost every day, Sarah's father, sisters, brother and cousins come with a picture of a boyfriend canditate. All they do is in order to get Sarah back into the dating scene:) Leading the charge are Sarah’s sisters, Carol and Christine, eager to line up potential suitors, and their widowed father Bill (CHRISTOPHER PLUMMER). Although he is old, he is very active in libertinism. He has been seeing Dolly, whom he met online, along with a number of other ladies whose names his daughters can’t quite remember.
Because they are so much eager to launch ther sister's own dating debut, Carol and Christine pretend to be Sarah and post her profile on perfectmatch.com, with an enciting message. In that message, although I cannor remember exactly, they use the adjecties such as "sensuous", "alluring". And they also mention that " DWF seeks special man to share starlit nights. Must loe dogs." And They wait for the responses. Sarah soon endures a series of mismatches. She also meet Jake Anderson( JOHN CUSACK) who is a soutful boat builder whose idea of true love comes straight out of Dr. Zhiago. Jake is attractive and smart:) Nevertheless, at first Jake imight be looking for more than Sarah wants. Therefore, he is out of discussion for Sarah. Meanwhile, at work, there is a new candidate, Bob Cannor. He is the newly seperated dad of one of Sarah 's young students.(He is more hundsome than Jake, but the apperance does not mean everything as always said:) ) Cahrming and relaxed, Bob seems to be Sarah's choice...But might he be too good to be true? Definitely yes:) Nonetheless, this is my comment. Yours can be much more different.
Then, as you can guess, the soul mate of Sarah is Jack. After recognizing Jack is not the true one for her, Sarah turns the choice of Jack. But, the last time she sees him is when Bob is kissing Sarah. Therefore, it is hard work to set everything in order again. They meet on the road one day. There şis nothing much to say for Sarah because there is another girl near Jack. Later, however, they come together:) I will not gie much detail about this. Because I want you to watch this nice movie:)
If you are a fun of romantic comedy films, you will like it very much. The perception of technology and its usage in love affairs will make you laugh:) One may guess the end of the movie, neertheless, it worths watching:) Because, Must Love Dogs follows the comic, and ultimately rewarding journey of a woman cautiously rediscovering romance and learning to trust her own instincts again. Because, as her family enthusiastically reminds her, it’s never a good idea to give up on love, is it? :)

DO YOU WANT YOUR HUSBAND TO DANCE?
Dancing...Reflecting all your feelings with your movements while dancing..It is wonderful, is not it? Sure, it is:) And what makes the movie "Shall we dance?" an excellent one is Richard Gear for me:) His performance is gorgeous . The story of the film is also very impressive.Chicago lawyer John Clark knows his life is almost perfect. He loves his beautiful wife, he's built a successful career. Yet, his workdays are routine and the family does not spend much time busy together. One evening, everything changes for John. On his way home from work he gets off his train and does the unthinkable. Without saying anything to anybody, he secretly begins taking dance lessons. Suddenly, John is thrust into a whole new world--of motion, music, and passion. As this very serious man becomes literally light on his feet, his whole life, and marriage, transforms.
While watching the movie, I have realized an idiom: "without telling a soul." When John' wife recognizes the thruth, John's taking dance lessons, she gets shocked and says" How could you have done such a thing without telling a soul?" I am sure, you all get the meaning:) This idiom can be used in different contexts very frequently:)
And another idiom which has made me suprised with its meaning is "face the music." While John is arguing with some of his friends in the movie, his friend says this. At first, having heard this sentence, I have thought that his fri>end is encouring John to feel the sounds, notes and dance. Nonetheless, this does not fit the context. Therefore, I have looked up to the dictionary and learned that it is an idiom meaning "to accept the unpleasant consequences of an action." Intresting, is not it? :)

THERE IS MUCH TO SAY
Just looking at the trail was enough for me to decide to watch PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. What a perfect story this is! Actually, Pride and Prejudice is a humorous story of love and life among English gentility during the Georgian era. Mr Bennet is an English gentleman living with his overbearing wife. The Bennets 5 daughters; the beautiful Jane, the clever Elizabeth, the bookish Mary, the immature Kitty and the wild Lydia. Unfortunately for the Bennets, if Mr Bennet dies their house will be inherited by a distant cousin whom they have never met, so the family's future happiness and security is dependant on the daughters making good marriages. Life is uneventful until the arrival in the neighbourhood of the rich gentleman Mr Bingley, who rents a large house so he can spend the summer in the country. Mr Bingley brings with him proud Mr Darcy. Love is soon in the air for one of the Bennet sisters, while another may have jumped to a hasty prejudgment. For the Bennet sisters many trials and tribulations stand between them and their happiness, including class, gossip and scandal...
Because I am fun of pomantic movies, this a good choice for me.The scenes are magnificient also.nevertheless, there is another point reflected in this movie: The film reflects the positions of women in Georgian Era.During this Era, the most important duty of a woman is to find a husband who has money. And after marriage,as "an angel of the house" they had the responsibility of looking after their husband and children. The meaning of education for them to have the skills of playing piano, singing, knitting, reading books in order to be a perfect wife. In this movie, while watching a great love, you will recognize these points:) then, lets watch it:)
